Role Summary: The Account Manager – Inside Sales will be responsible for proposal development for the State & Local Government and Private Sector practices. The role will work with the sales and technical teams to formulate client solutions and winning proposals that articulate the solution approach and benefits.

Duties:
• Lead proposal development process, including:
– Evaluate existing opportunities and provide GO/NO GO recommendations
– Construct custom letter proposals and formal proposals to meet RFP/RFQ requirements
– Work with technical and sales team member to generate a proposed solution and write supporting scope of work or methodology
– Write and customize project team member organization charts and resumes
– Select and write project profiles
– Work with technical and sales team members to develop appropriate pricing
– Carefully follow and be accountable for all proposal requirements
– Work with contracts and legal teams to identify risk
– Manage proposal generation process (printing, binding, delivery)

• Work with Sales Team to identify and implement new initiatives

• Assist Marketing with development of marketing materials

• Potentiall work as Account Manager for select accounts, including:
– Initial contact
– Meetings and presentation
– Develop technical sales materials, such as mock-up GIS applications
– Client management

Competencies & Skills:
– Exceptional writing skills. Sample work will be requested and verified.
– Strong understanding of GIS technology and benefits to state & local government and private organizations
– Ability to formulate conceptual GIS solutions at a high-level
– Full understanding of ESRI’s suite of GIS applications
– Very good communication skills
– Self motivated, pro-active and ability to multi-task
– Very organized

Experience Required:
– Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Geography or related field
– 3+ years using ESRI GIS technology, particularly ArcGIS Server applications
– Minimum of 1 year of experience writing successful competitive GIS services proposals

Work Environment:
– Location: Farmington Hills, MI or Birmingham, AL
– Travel 10% of the time.
